Feeder Roaches?

So the wife and I were casually discussing possible new additions to our menagerie in the not-to-distant future, mainly something for our boys. Obviously, this is a couple years since they're both still babies, but we're probably looking at something in the lizard department. A lot of options of course, but the wife has expressed in interest in the ever popular bearded dragon.

Whatever we choose, unless its strictly herbivorous, we're probably gonna be looking into raising our own feeders. Economically, there's really no other way.

Sounds like roaches are the way to go. Thing is, the wife HATES roaches. I'm not a big fan, but as long as they're not fast, and icky like our household American kind, I could probably deal. A little preliminary research shows that there is a variety of species. I'm sure all are easy (come on, they're roaches!). We would be looking for something least likely to escape, and not too jumpy / flighty. The Dubia sp seems like an popular choice, any other suggestions?

Little know acts, only about 4% of roaches are considered pest of that, Dubia's are not part of that 4%. I keep Dubia as feeders and they do well.

Feeder Roaches from New York Worms:Roaches

I use Orange Heads, not a Dubia person... Dubia's are to clever, they freeze up and don't move.
