mites
how can you tell if a snake has mites an it does whats the best way too get rid of them

Take a good look at the snake under bright light. Mites look like little dark specks that move around. A sign that your snake might have mites is if it sits in the water dish for extended periods of time.
Best product you could use to treat mites is called "Prevent A Mite".

I use prevent a mite for enclosure and nix lice treatment 1bottle mixed in a milk jug full of water for treating the snake. I recently had received a snake back from a loan...snake was yellow mites were black I was pissed! But the double whammy of nix and provent a mite worked I keep the nix treatment handy and spray down every newcomer lol

Ooohh beer sounds good! See super genius mkyee agrees I was scared to try nix but think about it you use it on ur kids plus ur diluting it...must be safe...and its worked he is mite free I can breath again

One bottle per 1 gallon of water just pour it in the jug shake it up stick it in a spray bottle

it has always worked,first time,everytime
i like it because,its easy to use and you do not put chemicals directly on the snake
it also remains active for 30 days,so imo its great for quarantine tanks for new arrivals
