Just an observation... about life on ssnakess.com
Just an observation...
I posted the picture to show off one of my corn snakes. I consider her to be a gorgeous snake, and being a relatively new snake owner, I'm thrilled with her, and how she's turning out. On this forum, people took my post for what it was - showing of my pride and joy, and made me feel good about her. On "The Other Forum" it turned into almost a blood bath of genetics and giving the impression that offspring produced by relatively unknown small time breeders should be looked down upon (or that's the message I got out of it). Whatever the mood was over there, it was definitely a negative outcome.
I've got to remember to stay away from "The Other Forum", and stick with ssnakess.com only, where people are human, humane, considerate, make posters feel like they belong and are welcome no matter how new they are to keeping a species.
Jeff, thanks for 'giving' us ssnakess.com

Here here!
I don't even go on the "Other Forum" anymore... I don't see any need to, everyone here is amazing, the format is great, and I get my questions answered

As long as the bad apples and trouble makers stay over there we should be fine.
Cheers,

hope im not stupid, but i am not 100% sure which the "other" forum is. i just know that i post on another forum and i ........... oh you should be glad i just erased what i typed at first............
i dont even know if i can censor myself if i start so i wont even start.
suffice it to say that i have never seen the biggest bunch of idiots, fools, outcast-trying-to-validate-themselves, people in all my life. i am registered on three forums and though i feel out of place living way down here in the southern usa, i still love this board a bunch! this is by far my fave
*and here no one bashed me for wanting a colubrid as my next snake*

I have never used the "other" forum that you all are refering to simply because of it's format. I tried reading it a while back, and after a few minutes of looking at that, I have never looked at it agian, lol.
Andrea, being from the south USA myself (just a state away, remember??), I know how you feel. I don't think the "other" forum that you are refering to is all that bad, in fact I like it. I just stay out of all of the drinking and sexual discussions. I have had my share of fights over there, but it all shakes out in the end.
I don't like colubrids myself, but I certianly don't put anyone else down for liking or keeping them. To each their own, I say.

With all of the features, format, etc, and users on the "other" forum, I'm glad to say i've at least enjoyed my experiences with ssnakess.com All of the users here treat each other like family, once in a while someone plays "mother" in here but it's usually to help out the newbies which is great! We all started there, I've rarely seen people go on monstrous ego trips here, unlike "the other forum".......soon Jeff, soon........sSnakeSs.com will take over the entire world...........MUUUUUUUAAAAAAA HHHHHHHHAAAAAA HHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! (supposed to be an evil happy laugh, lol) Love it here, can't stand it there. L8R

I agree this forum is great. I really like the format in here. Other then I have no Idea where half of these places are that all of you people are from. I am in sunny warm arizona a long way from Canada. The other for is very rude most of the time I hate to ask questions there. They would rather tell you how bad you are at keeping reptiles rather then helping you.
