Hello
Well I live in WA and I at this point have a corn snake that I have had for a few months. Crazy cuz the snake has changed from a green and tan to a black and gray, I do find this black and gray more appealing to be honest. This is my second snake and both snakes I have owned have been from people that just could not care for them any more or they turned aggressive to them. The first was a 4 to 5 foot red tail that never bit me and I always spent time with it so it did like me I, found it almost had a child like personality and a major curiosity problem :P The corn snake is in many ways the same but maybe a little more pushy compared to the red tail. Any way just thought how I seem to be good with snakes and people keep giving them to me I might as well join the fan club. I do have to say I miss feeding my old red tail though just not the same with little mice :P is it strange that i enjoyed the rats scream plus both snakes I got from other people use frozen foods as soon as I changed to live foods I saw a huge change in the snakes attitude like a respect or a more enjoyable snake to be around also the red tail is still alive I found some one that liked snakes and wanted her bad cuz she did have awesome colors and I always kept her moist and gas like polish to her as well this corn snake look 100x better now. well i can type forever so I guess hello all and ttyal

Re: Hello
Hi, just wondering why you would take snakes that are eating frozen thawed and expose them to the dangers of live feeding?

Re: Hello
hello and welcome
in answer to your question.....
i do find it strange/disturbing you found enjoyment/pleasure in hearing rats scream
i have no problem with feeding live if it's for a very good reason, for instance a fussy feeder
i do however have trouble getting my head around, why someone would switch a snake ALREADY feeding on frozen thawed to live
imo causing uneccessary danger to the snake
cheers shaun

Re: Hello
Hello and welcome! I really like to see pictures of your corn snake. As for the color change it could just be in shed.

Re: Hello
I guess when I gave her the first dead hairless pinkie and the lifeless expression of her garbing it and pulling it in unsatisfying to me and the snake. I have a friend that breed mice so I have a limitless supply near me so I tried it. There is a instinctive connection to the snake to hunt she knows what to do period. When I see her rub her face in the hair and the enjoyment she gets every time it is 100% worth it to give this snake some enjoyment as well my self I take her out every day and does not hide from me compared to when I got her always hidden and wanting to strike me.

Re: Hello
The snake does not ENJOY hunting - they dont have the capacity to do that, they just need to eat and will eat whatever is given to them. The enjoyment is purely from your side and you are putting the snake at major risk everytime you feed it live. Search for pics on here or google of snakes after rat/mice attacks - they WILL shock you.

Re: Hello
Imagine that being your snake and you realise why we are quite tough on people that insist on feeding live
