Feeding Example
I'm usually not a fan of this particular topic -- it seems to fan the enmity of AR folks, even though it's a natural process -- but someone on another forum had asked me to post some pictures of adult Brazilian Rainbows feeding. As the thread was already written, photographed, and publicly posted, I thought I might as well share the material here, too:
Topaz, assessing the biweekly offering to Her Eminence. ;-)
Vlad, having struck and wrapped his prey:
And Hills, starting to feed:
Note that all rodents were deceased prior to feeding (we use frozen/thawed).
Thank you for reading,

Re: Feeding Example
Nice shots and beautiful snake. I hope that one day my little hognose will be comfortable enough for me to do some similar ones. I especially liked the coiling and constricting photo.

Re: Feeding Example
Thanks both! Vlad has a pretty strong grip, even with me. Hognose are cool snakes. If you want to see a super cute vid of one sometime, look up the Youtube vid on one tackling a hardboiled egg (!). Thanks again!

Re: Feeding Example
Would love to get pics of our SD retic feeding but its a case of slide door, throw prey, close door quick!!
Great pics of yours, never apologise for feeding pics, they are part of the hobby as long as you arent glorifying the "kill", which you obviously arent when feeding FT

Re: Feeding Example
Yes, I was taking care of an African Rock for a short time where it was pretty much the same story.
Thanks for the nice words on the picts! I wish more people in the general populace understood it that way....
