Geocaching is a world wide treasure hunting game using GPS. you hide a treasure box called a cache box then submit the coordinates to the Geocaching.com web site they review it if it parses the guidelines they post it, then other people can get the coordinates and go find the cache and sign the log book to show that they were there then make a online log, there are also trade items in the cache. if here were more reptiles ion my area i could combine the two caching and field herping. there are over a million world wide. and its free (other than the GPS)

Re: Any Geocachers out there

We have a cache box about 5 miles from where I live. Never knew about the online thing, though. I thought it was more of a "You find the treasure box, you have to take something out and put something in" kind of game. Well now I know o____o

Re: Any Geocachers out there

I found out about Geocaching a year or so ago and although it sounds really cool I can`t help but think someone would always spoil it. I mean what if a nutter left a pipebomb for you to find? Or Al Qaeda decided to play using some antrax or something? I know you can`t account for every possibility or you`d never enjoy yourself but do you see what I mean? There`s always some idiot willing to spoil it wherever you go in this world after all.... Does that ever happen?

havent heard of anything deadly being placed in a cache other than the odd live bullet or fire cracker(which goes agaist the guildlines) but the bomb squads will blow up pretty much any cache they find just in case it is a bomb most of the time its other people that see the cachers looking for it or accidently find the cache and call it in as suspisious. i just wish that there were more reptiles where i live only garters and the very odd lizzard

Yeeeeah I don`t suppose you`d want to place a geocache in an airport of something would you! lol You think YOU`RE lack of reptiles in the wild is bad! I`m betting Canada is better than the uk! lol I can only think of a handful of species and you hardly EVER see them....
