Re: Hey
Yes, she looks like she's getting ready to shed, but she's still lovely! Looks like there's a lot of moisture in the enclosure; what's your humidity?

Re: Hey
I had just misted she was actually drinking the water dropplets. I keep the humidity anywhere between 95% on the hot side right after i mist to 75% by the time i mist again and the cold side is between 85% and 60% again right after i mist in the morning and right before i mist at night.

Re: Hey
What kind of top do you have? If possible, you don't want the humidity to drop below 75%. If you're using a screen top, you might want to cover part of it with plastic or replace part of it with plexiglass so the humidity stabilizes around 75-80%. That might also help reduce your misting demands, although it must be pretty cool to watch her sipping on the droplets of water!

Re: Hey
ya right now i have a screen top and i covred it with vinyl tiles that i had left over and then i cut out holes for the lights and i put a towel over it that i mist also i was doing great on the humidity when i first got her but now the temps here have been in the single digits every day and night and my house is at 68F and the humidity in my house is only 25% so it is just a hard time but when the weather gets a little better it will be much better and easier

Re: Hey
i think there might have been an error and i might have a male rather than a female. my breeder called me and said that he might have mixed up the two he had. so ya i still need names but now i need boys and girls names....anyone have any ideas?

Re: Hey
Very Cool Photo!
Sounds like you're doing what you need to do to maintain the humidity at the right level under the winter circumstances. Winter is always harder, because the house heater/furnace dries out the air a lot. Hang in there!
Do you plan to trade him/her back, or keep him/her, or what?
