Stupid Question?

Ok well some of you may laugh at this but im new at this whole thing so give me a break lol. Im just woundering what the number and the decimal means when people list there animals. I thought it ment how many people have but i have seen some weird decimal places like 1.3 and 0.1 so i now have no idea.

What does this mean?
1.1 crested
0.1 leos
3.4 beardie

1.2 - 1 male, 2 females
0.1 - 1 female
0.0.3 - 3 of unknown sex
3 - 3 of unknown sex
3.0 - 3 males
