does it ever happen?
Has there ever been any stories about someones Boa getting out and wrapping itself around the family dog or cat?
just curious.

lol my uncle is so worried about that, cause i just got a bci, he said when it gets bigger i better make sure it cant escape, so it wont eat our dog..
but i think i heard storys about that happening though,
you guys ever here the story of a guys boa getting outside, and eating a womans small dog? lol the woman said the guy probably let it out cause he had no money to feed it, hoping it would eat a small wild animal, lol..

i am planning on getting a baby bci and want to know if when he gets big will it be safe to have him out around my dog....
how do you guys feel about your boas being around your other pets?

My dog is always at my feet, that includes when Im in the reptile room. I wouldn't leave them unsupervised, my dogs knows good enough to stay away from them. The only time he would be left alone with them is if I was going back and forth to the bathroom to clean water dishes.

I have four dogs two of which are small dogs . I have my boa suzy out and she never has any intrest in the dogs nor do the dogs in her but she is still pretty small about 4' . I wouldn't recommend on leaving a dog around a snake unsupervised . If I am not mistaken they rely alot on their sence of smell when hunting and eating and dogs don't smell like rats or rabbits in general . Also how big is your dog if it's a chihuahua it would be more at risk then say a border collie or a german shepherd . I think to if the dog was bigger it would threaten the snake more than anything . That's just what I think , but your best bet is to have a really secure lid and you'll never have to find out .

my pup is medium sized--50 pounds. i really want to be able to handle my boa in and out of my snake room--i didn't know if there was a chance the boa would be tempted to go after my dog. i kind of doubt it but wanted to check with all of you experienced folks.
just trying to cover all angles before becoming an owner...

I have a BP 3-1/2 feet. and a big mutt of a dog. They show no aggression towards eachother at all. I can let my snake climb on the dog if she is in a daze. But thats not a boa either.

why would you ever have the urge to put your snake on your dog thats asking for trouble....
whenever i have my snakes out i lways have the all the dogs in a different room than i am. i would not risk having my dog attack the snake or my snake bit the dog.....and im sure it would be an unnecessary stress on the snake regardless.

I was sitting on the couch with my snake climbing on me. and the dog happened to climb up and lay down beside me and the snake crawled on her. It's not like I was giving the snake a piggy back ride.

when ever I have my 6 ft boa out around my neck sittin on the couch, my cat comes up and sits on my lap..and watches the boa..
I know the cat wouldn't attack it...
