What to do .. choices suck sometimes ..

Sometimes lifei s full of choices that really really suck .. I just got into collecting reptiles in the last year and my collection grew and quick ! that I thought was a good thing but now I am finding that I have little time for all of them and I have been trying to slowly thin my collection but it is soooo hard to do .. I love them all and I don't want to give any of them up but it is just not fair to them I know ....

I currently have three beardies two of which belong to my boys ... the third really needs a new home ... I have a Uromasyx I got and love alot but I find myself quickly feeding him and then running of to work or to pick up my wife from work or .. you get the idea .. and my Sav Boomer .. man he is nicely colored and eats like mad and he rocks in general but man finding time to interact with him is soo hard now and I know he would be soo much better with more handling as he doesn't bite , never has he just tail whips a little before I pick him up ...

such hard decisions to make .. anyone else had to make a decision like this .. man sometime it sucks to have to make choices .. work my wife and three kids .. my reptiles .. my free time .. cripes ..

thanks for listening to me whine a little lol ..

Kids are 12 , 11 and 6 .. they help out where they can .. but helping out with a monitor is not something they can really do .. the dragons they help out with but at times it is a chore just to get them to help ... kids will be kids lol

As far as interraction times goes, have you thought about making time with your animals also a time to spend with family? I'm sure your kids would love to hang out with you while you are hanging out with your animals. Or hey, grab one while your watching TV maybe after kids' bedtime. I find this sort of thing is a lot like finding time to exercise, it just HAS to be done, but there are many creative ways to fit handling time into your schedule.

I've had most of my snakes for at least 9 years and i could never give any of them up.I would always be thinkin if they are gettin treated like they should.Animals wether it be a dog or snake is a big commitment to take care of even after the fad has worn off.

I feel for you man ,I have my 6th child on the way and too many animals to even list ,it is without a doubt a never ending job of cleaning and feeding ,not to mention the outrages electric bills from heat lamps, heat tapes and the filters for all the aquatic animals. But in the long run it is all worth it ,there is nothing better then turning your hobby into your career .
