Death Is Stalking Me!!!
...and failling, so far.
What are the odds of being in 2 car accidents in 2 weeks?
Yesterday's crash was horrific. My car rolled over on the highway, smashed another car and "skated" upsideDown for about 45 meters. In the end, it was a twisted piece of metal.
What are the chances of coming out of that without a scratch?
Sorry for posting such a sad post, but it helps me release some pressure.

Thanks bisc.
I'm fine. Not a single bruise (weird).
A trio of old folks(from another car) went to the hospital and i have not heard news about them since.
Edit: thanks Tdherper. We posted at the same time.

im glad your alright... your a great asset to this forum...
maybe you should think of slowing down for a while.. 2 in 2 weeks is alot...
not saying your a bad or reckless driver, so please dont take it that way... just maybe you should stay off the upper part of the speedo so if theres another accident you have less chance of getting hurt... consider yourself lucky and please take it easy...
ive heard of enough herp deaths on here i dont wanna hear about a humans..

I agree, a lot of people need to take a serious look at how they drive.
I don't know if your a bad driver, but when people sit around
complaining about bad drivers, more often than not those bad drivers are the very people complaining.

Really it depends on road conditions, speed and what not.
I was in an accident several years ago after hitting a patch of black ice outside of Golden BC while coming back to Calgary from Kelowna after Christmas break. The conditions were bad so we were only going about 60km/h on the highway when we hit the ice... fishtailed down the road getting more and more out of control as we went, I had to make a decision, hit the rail over the big dropoff on the west side of Golden, or the ditch on the opposite side of the road. I took the ditch. Thankfully it was full of snow and that's pretty much the only reason i'm here to type this. The car flipped end over end three times and then rolled another half dozen before coming to rest right side up in about 4 feet of snow facing the same direction we started in.
The only damage to the car was the front driver's side quarter panel was pretty banged up and the windshield was cracked. No injuries, except for the goosegg on my noggin where my Discman clocked me in the head while we were rolling. Needless to say the single most frightening experience of my life to date

Crashes, been there done that. I had a real bad day quite a few years back. I used to drive this crappy old chevy van for a while. Anyhow get broadsided in Forest Lawn (relevant for Calgary folk), van smashed up, but OK to drive. Stop for coffee at a friends to calm down & continue across the city. Have a real bad feeling driving, like something is bad going to happen again, bad enough that I pull over & shop for groveries for a 1/2 hour or so even though I don't need any. Continue home with them & get cut off by a semi taking the Glenmore/Deerfoot exit (relevant to Calgary folk, both are the inner city "freeways") catch the edge of the curb with the back wheel & do around 6 180's in front of 3 lanes of Deerfoot (freeway) traffic & end up stopped between the 2 roads after taking out a huge sign. Stopped traffic on both roads & then they all continued. Thats 2 in just over an hour & I just knew something bad was going to happen. Anyhow hit the curb so hard, bent the rim & the tires going flat. Get the van all jacked up (nothing to block it up with) & just as I pull the tire off, jack buckles & van falls to ground just missing me. Thats 3, OK I can take a hint, I walk away from the Van & hitchhike home. Pick Van up later & never drive it again, buy a big ole beater car. Around a month later car loses front wheel in Rogers Pass around summit (see Golden story above). It buckled under the front of the car & I skidded for around 100meters & ended up between 2 guardrails about five feet from a huge embankment (long, long way down), this was about 10 seconds after passsing 2 semis. Again really lucky. Sell Van, sell car, drop 27.5 G on a 4X4 PU & will never drive another beater again, lifes too important, Mark
P.S. hit a few cement walls in my youth both as driver & passenger & have been run off the road too many times too remember working up north driving the logging roads, one time resulting in a rollover, but just flipped the truck back over with a chain & another truck & kept going. Ya I'm a lucky SOB when I think of how many crashes I've actually been in without anything but bumps, bruises & banged up beaters. THX GOD!

Before you start thinking i'm a reckless driver, i should say that both accidents were not my fault. In The first one, some speedy lady rammed onto the back of my car. This second time, i reacted in an instant to get out of the way of some other "speed-demon" that tryed to pass me as i was already doing a pass on another car. The fast weel turn made the car swing and roll.
Please, understand that BEING in an accident doesn't mean RESPONSABILITY for the accident.
