try using ad-aware, it's free and normally removes trojans. Or there's some online virus scanners out there too
www.pandasoftware.com
or download and try this

Cheers

I tried looking at www.symantec.com to see if it was listed there and the site mustbe down right now. You could try there and with luck it wil be listed along with removal instructions.

That damn coolsearch threw our comp for a loop too. I went to www.avg.com and I haven't had any problems since. Make sure your system restore is not disabled before you run your scan or try to repair anything Mine was and the program couldn't fix anything properly. I'm by no means good with comps, but the site is free and works awesome....................damn coolsearch...grrrrrrrrr.............

if you get this problem you will need to delete your last few system restores as they will have a back up of you infected files causing your reappearance problem. Check Mcafee.com as well but AVG is my personal favorite being that its totally free for home users and works quite well. Just make sure you disable and clear out your old system restores untill you have successfully removed the problem.

if you're fighting a trojan chances are adaware wont remove it.. use norton antivirus, and turn off your system restore feature.. using system restore blocks norton from scanning/removing these files, usually where trojans hide.
