Aussi Pink Floyd
Hey, I was wondering if any of you Pink Floyd fans out there have ever heard of the Pink Floyd cover band Australian Pink Floyd? I didn't untill about a month ago when they decided to tour this area, and last night I went to there show at the Pepsi Arena, and it was spectacular. I'm a bit young to have been to a Floyd show unless of course i went before i was 7 or 8 but regardless I didnt. But I know they either toured Canada or plan to and they've still got a month left in the states so if you like Floyd you should really spend the 35.00 to see these guys. I am a die hard Floyd fan and there was very few differences, the music was identicle, the only difference was the light shows, and videos they played were differant from those which Floyd played at their concerts, and I've seen taped Floyd concerts and honestly I think these guys put on an equally great show, and they all had amazingly similar voices, and I'm not one for cover bands, especially those who tend to ruin my favorite bands music but they are doing nothing like that they are definatly keeping it alive.
If you search the net you can find their website I dont know if I'm allowed to post it here so I wont but if anyone wants it get ahold of me through PM, or AIM, or email and I'll send it to you they have samples of their music on their site, but I've since gotten their cd and and dvd it was that amazing.

Ive seen the pink floyd experience here in toronto and its WAS AMAZING. It was all young ppl too so it was awesome. Hint: Rumours of the Real Pink Floyd with Waters returning next year to do a world tour. I hope it comes through...nothing can beat the real thing thoug the shows the tribute bands do are awesome.

Forsure, I like his style and guitar playing much more then waters.
I think waters is more to the point with his lyrics, and gilmour is more poetic about it. Comfortably live with gilmour is the most incredible show! I got it on one of the dvd's. A must see concert.

I doubt they'll ever play a real concert ever again. They are pretty old already. But who knows!!!
Anyone here about waters play he is now making. Its going to be a broadway musical of the wall. Should be great and is supposed to come out in the next year or so.
Hopefully in comes to Toronto. Q107 has been talking about it a lot recently.

Yeah I saw the pink floyd experience with the laser lights, it was good but there was no live band which was a shame. But Aussi Floyd is definatly a good time. I'm not much into broadway plays but if Waters did one and it came around here I'd definatly go see it especially if it was of The Wall. Glad to see I'm not the only Floyd fan on here. Which I knew anyway
