my 20 gallon tank

It's been laid on it's side and has a screen sliding door in front. The heat tape on the back wall was from when I first set it up--I don't use it now (sticky backing)and have a human heating pad under the tank.

This set-up is for a young ball python.

thanks for looking.

Nice setup, been searching for human heating pads for awhile. Where did you get yours and how much?

weather1--the plant is a pothos, you can find them everywhere. they are extremely hardy and grow very fast.

asian jon--i got the heating pad at k-mart for like 18 bucks. works great! make sure you don't get the kind that turns off automatically after it's been on for awhile.

thanks!

thanks joey, I think K-mart does not exist in London, but i got lucky today and found some for sale in the Canadian Tire flyer for $14...lets hope it is not the kind that turns off automatically.

I use the towel to drape over part of the screen to help keep humidity in and to make her feel a bit more secure.

thanks for looking..

Did you buy the sliding screen front, or make it?

God job mate!

The only thing is, if I was going to go through so much trouble to make a clear cage a non-clear cage, I would have just started with a non-clear cage, LOL!

But kudos to you for doing your homework.

I sometimes tape black construction paper to the glass on the outside. Still either than building any day. There is a pic in my gallery of three tanks stacked. The pic also shows how I secure them.
Cheers,
Trevor

Thanks Jeff!

The nice thing about this set-up is that I can see her directly through the screen and of course when I take off the towel.

Somehow I feel blessed to have your approval! lol

The screen is built in and slides downward to close---there's a latch at the bottom of it to make it even more secure.
