New babies coming soon...
Hi everyone, I have not posted in a while... I am going nuts with the income tax period... arrghhh!
At least I got a good news today in opening an eggsac of Holothele incei... all sounds very good...
The nickel is to give you an idea of the tiny size of the eggsac... I do not know yet how many babies it contains, but I will let you know as soon as I seperate them...
Funny how the eggsac camouflages itself on my counter!
Martin

WHHHOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!
Yay!!
I'm so happy for you! And, umm, well, ...the rest of us... heh heh...
How many times has this species been bred? Is this a Canadian first?
Did the mom put up a fight when you took her babycase away?
Did you know that shiny thing is called a 'quarter'?
hahahahahaha <grin>
Yeah, that's a beautiful sight!

LOL, you are right, a quarter, sorry... ribbitt!
The female never put up a fight, it was almost sad in a way... I just pushed her away and took the sac...
I do not know if it has been bred in Canada before, probably at one point but often spiderlings offered of any species are captive born, this is 100% captive bred... it is not a species considered difficult to breed (even if it took me four eggsacs to get one fertile!LOL)...
I may have one more coming, I have my fingers crossed...
Martin

Emily, I am a happy man indeed...
It seems the eggsac was more advanced then I thought... took this pic yesterday, the little ones are already crawling out of the sac...
Take care
Martin

How adorable! Congratulations Martin! Holothele incei is such a beautiful species too, I love the intense gold that they can get. I don't know too much about their tempermant though, are they an aggressive species?

Not agressive at all... very fast though... but they will run for sure, never seen one yet remotly trying to defend itself...
I should have some new eggsacs soon of other species, will keep everyone posted...

Oh yes! Like it! Like it!
But even if you have hundreds of spare cash, .....its a long wait to find one! Martin had one on his list, and it didn't last long!
*sigh* Someday, I will have an immanis, and I will name it BushButt.
hahahaha

Yeah, unfortunately this species will probably always be fairly expensive...and rare
I do believe one of mine is a male....You gotta female right Martin
Also @ Martin... Are your Xenesthis sp. "white" starting to look at all like sp. "blue" yet??
