I would have to agree, they don't seem to have all the health problems and upkeep requirements of the purebreds.

We have owned shar - pei for years, Best dog I ever had was a dalmation/beagle mix smart friendly and lived for ages.

Shar-pei on the other hand are smelly and stupid...

LOL I remember some friends of ours raised those, lots of skin and kidney problems if I remember correctly with the Shar-pei, very cute though, although they remind me of wrinkled old men!!! LOL

Yea kidney problems are the bane of their existance, that and skin problems up the rear. but yea lots of skin.
