carnivorous plants?

i havd a venus fly trap once when i was younger, died in like a week. anyone know anything about carnivorous plants??? im just curious

Most grow in a bog type setting. Keep it really humid, but dont let water fill up its pitchers and such. Let it get some meat. I dump fruit flies in the tank.

I have a sundew plant. Really easy to care for. I have it in a 2.5 glass aquarium. It's planted in a soil/peat/perlite mix. There is some live moss growing around it. I have an old UVB light on it. So far it's gotten taller and has a couple of runners. Gnats seem to get into the tank, and it gets those...

I have had a few sucessful trys at keeping flytraps/and like 4 other carnicvours plants its been a while i forgot some of the others names, lol. I keept then in a small aquatium with peetmoss on top of soil I coverd the tank with plastic rap wicth I pocked holes in. And when you put that in a window the humidity goes through the roof. Stick with small food like pinhead crix or fruit flys. and mist the tank when needed. I had a fly trap flower ill post a pic soon when i scann it.

Oh I forgot dont feed too much ie: you dont want all the traps on a fly trap closed.

what could have happend is it mite not have died what happens is after the head of it eats 3 to four meals the head will die and a new one will grow back in its place

Another issue with fly traps is that tap water is not suitable to water them with. Most keepers suggest collecting rainwater and using that. These plants don't like added nutrients and what not in the soil, and this is why rainwater or distilled water works best.

As for feeding them, in reality, you don't need to. They can catch bugs enough to survive on their own, even if its less than every two weeks. I looked into this heavily when I owned a venus fly trap. Here are a couple links:
