loads of rats....

I now breed way too many rats then I can use. I am using the steel rack systems (see pics) with auto water and feed bins for my rats and mice and will have to freeze over 200 rats this week. The mice I find easier to sell and don't have a problem selling 100 to 200 at a time or freezing and storing. Rats take up much more room and take longer to freeze.

The system is already pre made a a joke to install. The gravity fed vari flow wate ring nozzles are about $2.15 US each at Agselect.com. They are connected to T's in series all the way to a outlet Tank Connector which filters the water and allows the water to be shut off. On the other end of all the connecters is a <a href "http://www.agselect.com/ED/showdetl.cfm?&DID=11&Product_ID=393&CATID=12">Barb ed Drain-Vent which allows the user to purge the air from the system. Everything is connected with flexible plastic hose. I use 5 gallon buckets for water. A couple of very important things on auto watering: Never allow the rats to get to the hoses! Burn a small hole in the corner of the rat boxes (on the bottem corner were they cannot chew) to allow water build up to vent. If a valve gets stuck on from dirty water, it will fill the rat tank and flood it. I have only had this happen three times in two years. It sure saves a s__t load of time. NO MORE WATER BOTTLES!!!!!
