NancyFarlow Registered User Join Date: Jul-2021 Posts: 3 Country:	Can a snake drink too much water? I volunteered to foster a boa that is several years old. It is five or six feet in length and is shiny and beautiful and appears to be very healthy. But it never had access to water, other than occasional soaks in a bathtub. After being placed in its new enclosure, it has had its head in the water dish for hours now, appearing to alternately drink and soak. Is this OK? Can a thirsty snake drink too much water, or will it self-regulate?
