Hello All
Hi, My name is Brandon and I’m new to the forum. I’ve joined mainly to gain knowledge from those that share the same passion as I in the reptile world. I have a particular interest in the Eyelash Viper and my future plains are to build a showcase terrarium suitable to house these beautiful creatures. When I was a young boy I spent most of my days herping as they call it now a days. I’ve caught and housed just about every species of reptile native to the state of Florida including hots. As I grew older and earned an income I began to purchase a large variety of non-native reptiles to care for. I sold and gave away all my pets, got married, bought a home and raised a family. I will be 60 years old this year and the interest I’ve had in these creatures is still with me today. I’ve come to realize that even though I read just about every book I could get my hands on as a youngster, back then, I still didn’t take proper care of the animals I had collected. Mostly because of ignorance things like temperature, humidity, the proper substrate, diet and a host of other necessities were not correctly met. Not to mention the lack of proper equipment. Its amazing how far things have come, I mean like thermostat controlled heating devices, UV lights, timed misters, and most of all the internet where great herpetologist are willing to share a wealth of information. Over the last year I’ve been researching my plans and can’t wait to get started.
