Texas Snake Identification

Hi! Found this guy in the ceiling of my basement today. Scared the hell out of me! What kind of snake do you think it is?

Not really sure, but I am going to go out on a limb and say healthy first. It may be a adult Texas rat snake. Final answer! Lol. He has been eating well!

looks rat snake-ish...def not venomous. looks like it's inspecting your insulation
