Acurite Aculink: Monitor Your reptile room remotely

Just wanted to give a shout out to acurite for creating a great, affordable remote temperature monitoring software. You can get the aculink with wireless wireless temp+humidity probes for 100$. You plug the wireless receiver into your Internet modem or router and then the wireless probes check in via the receiver to acu-link.com. You can look at that site on your phone or computer. I also set mine up to send me alerts if the wireless devices stop checking in or if the temperature in the room gets over 85F or below a certain temperature. I have the alerts going to both my email and my cell phone. I feel like the 100$ is really cheap insurance considering this could save your entire collection should something go wrong.

Whats ith websites that dont give you info about the product? They just expect you to sign up i guess? Off to youtube to see pics of said product......

I was a little uneasy about the lack of information too. It works really well though and is the best deal for the money I believe. If you have a specific question let me know and I'll answer it but the gist of it is you plug a device they send you into your modem then you put battiers in three sensors and put them in your snake room and/or snake cages, go to a website and sign in and you can view the temps/humidity from your phone or computer and you can set alarms to email and/or text you if the temps get too high or low. Could save my collection one day. No monthly fees, just the 100$ and you're good to go. Took about a week to arrive.
