HELP! Heat pad problems
So I bought a heat pad to put under my plastic quart tub and since I used the littles balls to elevate the cage the heat pad does not want to stay on the bottom. It keeps coming off. Anyone know how I can get it to stay on?!

Re: HELP! Heat pad problems
What kind of heat pad do you use? I use ultratherm heat pads...and I use both double sided tape and aluminum tape to stick it on. Those things never come off.

Re: HELP! Heat pad problems
It's a small zoo-med heat pad. It's just temporary cuz I'm selling the snake at the end of summer

Re: HELP! Heat pad problems
Honestly I'm not sure how hot you could heat up duck tape but since it will only be 90 something degrees (so I'm assuming) it should work

Yeah it's for a columbian rainbow boa so from what I've read they're heat gradient is from mid 70s to mid high 80s

Re: HELP! Heat pad problems
I use aluminum tape when it keeps falling off. works well for me its just typically more costly than duck tape.

Re: HELP! Heat pad problems
how high is the tank floor raised off the ground mate ?
the plastic faunariums i use are raised a few millimetre off the ground, the heat mat goes on the ground and the 4mm to 5mm space between the ground and the tub floor, allows for air circulation and the tub attains the correct temperatures
cheers shaun

Yeah I used the double stick tape from Reptile Basics and aluminum tape. Like Mikoh says, I won't come off!

Re: HELP! Heat pad problems
I would use aluminum tape over duct tape. Do you have a thermostat?
