Question Lighting (not as a heat source)?

I have decided to get a corn snake (after I set up my tank and after I finish more research). I know what to do for heat and I know that they are nocturnal, but would a red light or blue light at night be beneficial? What about an led light for the day? My room isn't that bright during the day and I want to stimulate a natural environment.

LED strip lights will do the trick nicely, but make sure to provide plenty of cover. Corns are not strictly nocturnal however, crepuscular is generally a better term, although some are very active during the middle of the day aswell

Snakes don't need light at night if that's what you are asking. I second LED Light strips. You can change colors to simulate dawn/dusk or the mood. lol

LED Aquarium lights work great. They emit no heat at all, use little energy, and last for a long time. You can get them in strips or in a bar. I use a bar style light because I have my vents on the back top of my tank making it so enough light shines in to the tank
