Question Individual Scale Shed?

My Northern Green Rat snake (11 yrs old female) has been having individual scales fall off or individually shed.

I recently got her, and changed her bedding from newspaper, to an aspen shavings substrate. She has a bowl of water, a climb and a hide. She recently started losing her scales/having scales individually shed. There are no discoloration to the scales and no swelling.

Any ideas on what may be causing this? Does this mean humidity is too high or low? Or maybe I should switch to a coco husk substrate, or even back to newspaper?

Thanks!

Re: Individual Scale Shed?

It could be the humidity being too low.
