Cage size

Have you guys found that your ball pythons like extra space or prefer a smaller area? 24x24x16 or 48x24x12?

Re: Cage size

I kept one in a 4x2x2. It could have used more space. Hid during the day, roamed at night, and ate like a champ.

This is an adult ball python. To keep one in a 2x2x16 would be unideal imo.

Re: Cage size

The idea that snakes prefer confined cages is a myth. They like snug hiding places to be sure, but will use as much space as you can offer so long as you provide the proper conditions.
