Tail Spurs

Hello newbie here. I have a small rescue operation and got a juvenile ball a few months ago. He seems to be acclimating well and I have a friend who is looking for a male who may take him. I tried popping but it did not work (my first time). However, I noticed that he had small spurs near his vent. Are these present on both sexes or just males?

Re: Tail Spurs

spurs are present on both sexes. males tend to have larger spurs than females, but its not always the case. some females can have large ones and vice versa. the only way to tell for sure with bp's is popping or probing...
