what kind of python? usually snakes don't go so far when they escape. Look in all the tiny warm dark places in your house. Under furniture, behind appliances, where there are power bars, anywhere you wouldn't think they could possibly fit into

Re: Hello,, please help? :(

It helps to have more information.

Do you have a spare heat mat? You can set it up under some warm blankets (on a thermostat)

They like dark, warm places like Lady bug said appliances, fridge, oven, heating pipes.

Re: Hello,, please help? :(

Hey, welcome to the forum. What kind of python have you lost?

Check every room... not just the room where she was housed. Check every room in your apartment/house. Closets, under the fridge, under furniture... Even if you don't think she can fit somewhere, she might've. Get on the floor and try to see things from her perspective.

If you still can't find her, put a heat mat (hooked to a thermostat), put a hide on top of it, and put it in the corner of a room. Hopefully the heat will bring her to it. You can also put a thawed mouse/rat so the scent might bring her to it too.

Good luck!

While you'e searching... You need to figure out HOW your snake got out. Was the lid not properly secured? Was the latch broken? How did she get out? Then correct the issue so that when you do find her, she can't get out again.

Re: Hello,, please help? :(

I checked everywheree !! ,, I still can't find it, it has been 2 days
It's a ball python, I tried putting water because she drinks alot
and I don't think it's hungry it just ate the day before it got lost, and I'm sure it didn't go outside
She's going through shedding so she might be hiding, should I wait until she sheds?

Re: Hello,, please help? :(

If she just ate and is sheding I'd bet shes in a nice tight hide. If you can ensure the temps in your house stay reasonably warm and give it a few days for her to finish you may be able to trap her with a rat.

Take a heat pad and hook it to a thermostat, heat a hide or something with a mouse inside to about 85. Place a tube sock over the hole at the entrance and have the toes of the sock cut to act as a kind of tunnel. Have it so the tunnel empties into the hide but is far enough from the floor of the hide where the sock will "shut" behind the snake when it enters. If she makes it into the hide she'll prob eat and not move until shes digested so just keep looking everyday.

I saw this "trap" on Survivorman for watersnakes, so it's worth a shot on Ball Pythons lol.

OK here, crappy paint drawing of the trap. the pink box is the mouse, the red squiggle is the sock, the black circle are the entrance holes to the sock.

You could also put strips of packing tape sticky side up in the room you think the snake is in,at night when you go to bed.Snakes are most active at night.Snake will get stuck to the tape and you just follow the tape so to speak. If it works becareful taking the tape off.soaking in some water will help. I used this method and worked for me quite a few years ago.
