So who here is planning on making it to the show. I for one plan to be there, and was wondering if anyone else will be making the trip?

I'll be there of course, but won't have any offspring available yet. I MAY take down a few breeders & subadults/yearlings for sale, key word MAY. They have all started breeding now already so likely not any breeders yet. Mark

I won't be going, too far. I used to be a regular attending the show near Toronto tho. Does Port Credit Pet Centre still put that one on?

The address should be 78th Ave. not 78th St. Just noticed that.

Re: TARAS Spring show 2007 - April 21-22 2007 Ogden Legion

I drove down on Sunday. The variety of animals is definately getting better, not the same beardie/leo/cornsnake crap that goes on year in and year out. It was surprisingly slow though, don't you think? It's been a few years, and I figured it would have kept up with the ERAS shows.

Was Henry Piorun there? I didn't see him but hoped too.

Re: TARAS Spring show 2007 - April 21-22 2007 Ogden Legion

Nope Henry wasn't there, he was supposed to be & we had 3 tables set aside for him but he never showed, called, emailed, nothing (THX). We heard thru word of mouth he wasn't coming & it was pretty obvious when he never showed up that it was true. What time of day were you there? Sunday am was pretty quiet as was late afternoon, but sunday late am/mid afternoon was pretty steady. Saturday we had 20-30 folks waiting for the doors to open & it was real busy until after lunch. Then it was really nice out foir the first weekend here in a while & the hockey game was at 1 pm so the afternoon was slow, but steady. Traditionally the spring shows have far less vendors, less available animals & as a result less traffic too. The ERAS shows of recent years have finally started to "keep up" to the TARAS shows IMHO LOL Cheers Mark
P.S. I think you guys get more display only type tables too, where here we can't give them away. Most folks here tend to go with if I have nothing for sale I'm not going, grrrrrrr. Whatever ya do don't share your animals or knowledge if there is no $ involved, jeesh!

Re: TARAS Spring show 2007 - April 21-22 2007 Ogden Legion

I was there Sunday AM, while it was still cool and cloudy. I was also going to check out J and J Reptiles and Riverfront, but they were both there which made for less travel On the way back we did Drumheller and Guzoo (Three Hills). The sun came out and I did a bit of riverwalking but never found anything. All in all a good family trip

Ya sunday am was pretty much a dead zone until after lunch. Least it meant no masses to deal with making it easier for you to view stuff. Visit Reptile World while in Drum or the museum? Hows Guzoo doing for overall "shape'? Next time you are down or in Red Deer at a show say Hi! Mark

Re: TARAS Spring show 2007 - April 21-22 2007 Ogden Legion

Both in Drumheller. The Tyrell is in the midst of putting up some really cool new exhibits. We saw something new, which was refreshing. Reptileworld is a must for anytime I travel south

Guzoo was the same old, it's a farm with exotic animals. Can't really expect too much, but the people are friendly and the kid had fun getting the wolf to chase him through the mud

I hope to get to the Reddeer show this year, it'd be a first. I've heard it's the best of both worlds.
