Humidity question

How do the humidity needs of an Ackie compare to those of a Savannah monitor? I guess what I'm asking is, do Ackies need a humid environment as well as an even more humid burrow, or what exactly? I guess I'm confused because I thought Ackies came from an environment that's dry year-round. Can anyone help me out with this?

Re: Humidity question

From what I have read ackies do very well when cared for in the same conditions that savannahs are kept.

Re: Humidity question

Ackies are a burrowing species. They spend a lot of time in their burrows when Australia turns on the dry heat. They still require a 60% humidity level. Probably the best captive monitors as well.

Re: Humidity question

I plan on using my 8x4x4 to house a couple Ackies when I get my Cement 12x20 completed for the Boscs.

Oh my GOD. I'm not sure if I'm more jealous of you or your monitors.
