Under tank heater

Hi, with an under tank heater, is it placed on just half the terrarium, or under the whole thing?

Re: Under tank heater

I would do just half so what ever your critter that you are keeping is able to move off the heated area.

Re: Under tank heater

Under half to 1/3 of the terrarium, and always regulated by a thermostat so it doesn't fry your critters.

Re: Under tank heater

1/2 is too big. It won't allow for a proper thermal gradient. 1/4 to 1/3 is better
