overall, i find hots an interesting topic, that being said, i would never own one, i dont believe in myself enough to handle a hot whereas i can trust myself to whole-heartedly take care of colubrids, boa's and Pythons, (even if i love them more than they love me! hahaha
) i think everyone here has had different experiences and should be respected. i think that (much to my dismay) lizards such as agamids and tegus are much smarter than snakes, whereas snakes are more instictual in their behaviour than "thinkers" (if that made sense) I love all my animals and would love to own many more, i digress. i would never own an animal myself without doing extensive research, and as sometimes i ask for help, i am attempting to get a grasp on what others have done in order to correct issues or problems i have run into (we all have those).
anywho sorry about the run-on...paragraph, and i believe i covered everything in this MONSTER of a thread lol
