Re: new pics

Yeah I haven't been getting her out much at all since she's been unwell, other than feeding/injecting of course. I feel bad giving her these injections hopefully she'll be more responsive to this antibiotic

Re: new pics

Very stressful indeed, especially when in theory she shouldn't have got unwell in the first place. Still at a loss as to how she managed to get pneumonia in a very hot house and a nice warm viv

Re: new pics

Not looking at the moment, I want to make sure Lola is 100% before getting another snakey. Lol yeah the lil guy seemed to like me more than the shop assistant for sure, went for her a couple of times before settling down around my arm, he had the most adorable little face! If Lola was fine I would of taken him home with me without a second thought.

Nope no loss of power, good ambient temperature so I really am at a loss

Re: new pics

Thats fair enough, but i would buy more snakes as thats just what i do lol. I cant help myself, as long as i can care for them they mine, mine i tells ya.

Hmm thats really strange for her to develope such an illness with no real reasons behind it. Maybe fluid on the lungs? im not sure but i got very ill and developed very minor pneumonia and stayed in hospital for a few days because of that.

Re: new pics

The only thing I can think of is where we moved the viv into the front room it's opposite the door to the balcony, now when I'm home I make sure the door is not left open, the only thing I can think of is that Mark had the doors open for a couple of days and she got cold. I've told him since so if that was the problem it most definately will not be happening again

Re: new pics

Hmm possibly but if you have a thermostat and heat light/pad/ceramic it would of still givin her a hot spot in her tank though. Has she had x rays as fluid on the lungs is a slim possibility.

Re: new pics

Nope the vet hasn't suggested anything like that as of yet, I guess we'll have to see the outcome of this load of antibiotics and take it from there

Re: new pics

Yeah, he didn't mention anything about it being uneffective but he did say raise the temperature. Hopefully the wattage I went for should be okay in the exoterra, do you think a 60W for a 40x60cm will be okay? Or shall I go for a stronger bulb?

Re: new pics

Yeah i know to give them a little more heat, but dont think humidity is a good thing to do. 60 watt should be heaps you could get away with a 40 watt in a tank that size. How high off the ground is the globe?

Re: new pics
