I take Tae Kwon Do and we are also learning Haidong Gumdo. Nothing much on the ground other than our street self defense teaches ground techniques.

I'm a black belt, the emphasis is totally on kicking. My husband is 3rd dan black belt and has his own school. For sport style sparring TKD style punches aren't really even counted, unless they knock your opponent off balance and punches to the head are not allowed at all, it is all about the kicking!! For our actual practical self defense though we do a lot of submission holds along with elbows and knees, no rules when you are fighting for your life!!

Awesome guys. I should have looked into some type of school when I was much younger, but never did really look into a good dojo. If I had to pick any "type" of fighting it would be submission, probably shootfighting or Brazlian Jiu Jitsiu.

That was a good short fight. I secretly wanted Alex to win but I knew Forrest would just be too much for him. Any ideas what the twist is???

I have no idea about the twist, but it most be bad if Leben doesnt like it. As for the fight I think Forrest under estimated Alex, If it stayed standing up I think Alex could have won. Iam not bashing Forrest because I like him. I can honestly say this is the only fight so far I didnt have a Fav to win the fight I liked both of them.

I agree, it was a good short fight. Once Alex was pinned down he had no chance. Forrest started beating'em like a mad beast.

I think that they will have to fight their teammates. If this is the case, here is how I see it.
Forrest beats Sam
Diego beats Josh
Leben beats Kenny
Swick vs Stephan...Im not sure

I had high hopes for Alex but I liked how Forrest has class and has real heart. He's a good role model for the future fighters coming into the UFC. I know wars will happan and such but it's good to see the fight didn't end their friendship. It just allowed higher respect for both fighters and showed they both had class.

Damn that was a good fight. Chris controlled it but give props to Kenny for hanging in there and landing that elbow.
