However, Certain snakes like those Florida rough green snakes are well known for doing terribly in captivity (with a few exceptions) yet they turn up for 10-20 dollars all the time.
At this point in our hobby, there is no reason to scoop up large numbers of wild snakes just to get a quick buck.
To this day Royal Pythons are still gathered up from the wild and sold at places like petco so they can keep on having their $29.99 sale.

Beeehhh... After hearing all that horrible crap about Petco, all I can say is -feh-... Petco... I'd expect such idiocy from them.
