You're absolutely right Ken, it cuts both ways, we won't know one way or another unless the two are bred to eachother.
Whatever the case and whether or not we even ever find out for sure is a matter of snake morph trivia, it makes no difference to the rest of us in terms of value.
It only matters to those concerned with the bragging rights and the only people who have any reason to argue about that are the people who have actually produced the animals. Someone deserves the credit for having the pure dumb luck to do it first (if we are dealing with a single morph), I'm just fairly indifferent to who that ends up being.
They're still going to be some of the coolest boas I've ever seen and I'm still going to want some.

Definay C Adamanteus, stop by!! If that snake is the mocha I can safely say that they are not the same thing, our snakes do not brown out as they age. The male is still just as pink as when he hatched, he has darkened a little but he has no borwn. though I will admit the pattern is more similar to ours the coloration is quite different. I still will not tolerate any one calling my boas mocha boas, as far as I can tell they are not the same. The chances that they are related is slim. Fact is our origional parents were probibly born before the mocha was found in the wild, im not intirely sure because i do not know how old the mocha is today.

Very nice stuff! Jessica have you contacted the biggest boa breeders in the US to see what they think?

I agree with Trevor, I think you should contact some bigger breeders in the states to see what they have to stay.

why is it that you sold a male instead of a female? with that male you can sire 3 or 4 clutches to all kinds of different morphs or even normal females, but with those females you can only have one per year...am I thinking right?

LATAZYO:
It may be Jess' s choice, people sell whatever they choose they feel that is important via sales, possibilities, breeding options and so on. Your right about the male having more options in another collection versus a female and only 1 option. But I have not kept up with the thread so I do not know if there were female pink patternless boas in the litter - so that might be a reason too, maybe Jess has alot of males as well. Or a buyer wanted a male and the price was good for both seller/buyer. It can be a number of reasons why sell a male or female. But again yes a male has more options open to him than a female.

hey latazyo, the 1 male was sold because they still have the original male to use for breeding.

I am not up on Boa Morphs but looking around there is little to no information on the Mocha Boa. Which to me would mean, even if the boas are the same, this person has far more than anyone else, has proved them out, and has all the original founding stock (for this line)
Which, in itself, is far more than most herpers could hope for.
