I like it alot and as Greg said,, ( If that's happening then Ok. You know better. You could put smaller herps (Tarantulas, lizards, Scorpions) at the empty space on the left top to show that ssnakess is not only for snake fans.
~Greg~

I think this would be a great idea.... But it still looks great the way it is!!!!!!

I like the fact that there's "empty space" in the logo. It was a very rare and happy circumstance that the old logo was full of lots of different images, font, etc. without looking crowded, busy and like a ransom note.

Now it's leaner, meaner and cleaner looking which will take me some getting used to but I enjoy it.

Jeff, maybe Youkai could make a few little herps (tarantulas, scorpions, geckos) and you could put them on the brown branch as though they were walking to the snake.

Other than that it's #1!! Good job!

Wow you guys are too cricital. To be honest the last one was really crappy and unprofessional, this one looks amazing. In my opinion the only thing wrong is the ssnakess test; for something that large its too plain . The opening on the left suits the banner in my opinion. I was thinking, as far as acknoledging its canadian, tpye the following:

MAde by Canadians, made for the world...

Or something of the sort. Just an idea.

I agree with Gingo. Just that the first one didn't suck. if you want, I can easily fancy the text up a bit in 5 seconds.

I agree with eyespy about the space. I like it and think it balances out for some reason. the only thing I'm a bit critical of is that it kind of implies that the site is for only snake owners. To tell you the truth that was one reason why it took me so long to really check out the site other than the classifieds. lol.
If only there was some way to get the point accross that this isn't "just" a snake site that would be great!! But how to do it without cramming the header?
But I still like it the way it is. I'd buy a t-shirt!

I've been staring at the little camera beside everybody's name trying to decide whether or not it was there before.. PHEW now I know I'm not crazy THANKS Jeff

I like the banner thing a LOT, but I think the colour on sSnakeSs is a little .. i dunno... maybe a border around the letters, like an outline... Just a suggestion

I love it.....The only recommendation is, like Kate said, an outline around the letters of ssnakess.com...just to make it pop a little...

But Youkai, you are an amazing artist! It's such a great drawing, and It'll look great on a t-shirt

Well, there are probably too many opinions already, but here's mine ...

- Nice job!
- Like damzookeeper said, a tongue would be great!
- I prefer the blue over the red font.
- Keep it simple and don't add a bunch of other herps.
- Possibly reword to: Your #1 Online Source For Reptile Information. (I'm not a grammar expert, I just think one is likely more correct than the other... not sure which though )

And my final suggestion is: Go grab a beer and watch the Canucks eliminate the Blues!!!!!

I'm glad you guys are happy with the drawing (for the most part )
It'll take some getting used to I'm sure, maybe some more tweaking, but I think Jeff did a great job.

Oh...and Cranwill, I ALWAYS wanted an excuse to use this picture!
