I feed mine on cocohusk and plantation soil. My blind girl wats mouth fulls of soil if I'm not careful and she is fine.

I highly doubt it was the prey at all. Snakes can digest just about anything so a sick mouse wouldn't hurt it.

look into wipe out to clean the cage. you empty the cage. spray the wipe out in it. let it be for 5 minutes and wipe it out. simple as that.
