if your repti-bark is fir based you might want to switch to orchid based bark, fir is a type of pine. just would hate to see you lose a nice snake like that.

im pretty sure it isn't. because that is known to be harmful to snakes and it says right on the package that is is safe for snakes. but my snake has been on it for months now with no ill side effects.

when i first got my brb i put her on zoomed repti bark, then i read what it was made from and it said fir bark and the also said it was safe for snakes.now i use cypress mulch instead.

yes coy but would it really take months like 4 or 5 to have an effect? and the pine doesn't affect skin i dont think. it causes respitory problems i could be wrong but that is what i remember

well i stand corrected i if getting the wetness down doesnt help i will take out the repti bark as the next action and put in coconut husk.

I lov coconut husk as a substrate for humid enviroments it holds and releases moisture well
