KO's are kinda cool, but in my opinion I prefer to watch a Tap. There is nothing like watching the oppenet tap, because they give up, lol. A KO is kinda a cheap way out and not too hard if you have solid forarms and a good strong and solid hook. If it connects, a knockout isn't too hard, as the mind isn't meant to take that impact.
Just my thoughts.

i wouldnt agree, the mind isnt meant to take that impact, however limps arent meant to be over extented as well as blood supplies are supposed to not be cuttoff from the brain. Either is good with me, gotta admit those guys are some tuff s.o.b's wouldnt wanna accidently mouth them off at the bar in a drunken state. sure would wake up with a headache

It all depends on who you are fighting.. If you watch UFC (not the show) but the real thing theres Brawlers that can take alot of punishment before being KO like cabbage, or Tank Abbot, or Andre Arlovski... These guys can all take a heafty beating before being KO.. There are alot of fighters that know how to grapple but never really want to use it.Unless they have to, but most will just try and avoid the take down.

That's a good point Jamie. I haven't seen all the fighters in the UFC yet, It's hard to find dvd's to watch where I'm at and I'm not paying pvp, lol. So that bein said I take back this:
Quote:
"If it connects, a knockout isn't too hard, as the mind isn't meant to take that impact."

Jess I have seen alot of clean KO like you metioned but there are "SOME" that can take a good beat down. Which IMO makes for an awsome fight.. If you didnt live so far away I could let you borrow some of mine...LOL I got a bunch now about 100 hours or more....

You live in Ontario, I live at least 4 hours from there, so not too bad, LOL! Ya that does kinda stink, but I plan on hopefully making another trip to eaither Quebec, Ontario, NB, or BC for a fishing trip. Not sure what province I'll choose, but I know I will have a blast! So if I end up in Ontario who knows, maybe you'll see me somewhere on a river or lake, lol. Baw, I need a license, hehe.
I agree, if anyone can take the beating, they are warriors in my book and have my upmost respect.

That matched stunk, I agree Chase. They looked like they were hugging eachother. I watched the fight again last night. So I'm gonna change my opinion, Chris did a awesome job and even prevented some of his takedowns. Josh just went and pussed out, lol.
I also noticed the second time around, where actually had my satalite set on slow mo to see some of the angles better. Chris almost had or looked like he had an armbar locked and Josh barely broke free. Chris also had a couple other submissions on him, but it was difficult to justify what he was also trying to accomplish.
I can forsee Josh becoming a suma wrestler after that match, heh.

I also watched the fight last night. In the second round it looked like Chris tried at least 3 times to put josh in a submission. I seen that armbar too, from the looks of it, Chris wasnt really trying to give Josh an option to tap out if you know what I mean.

Haha. Sweet, this thread is still going.I would like it to be Leben to finish unfinish business. I was ruting for Josh in the beginning, in hopes to shut Chris's cocky mouth. For all we know, it would be the canadian coming back, seeing how TV likes us to keep guessing. Haha I would love to see Chris on Lidell with Josh.
Now for the fight. Finally no more snooze jobs. I can't really comment on eaither as to who was a shmuck, lol. I actually do like Southworth and he is very enertaining. Stephan was the "aggressor", Bobby was the the defenseman.
Props to Team Couture on winning twice and taking out Liddells strongest fighter.
