Ya know what would be a better idea...
How about everyone stop the finger pointing unless they have irrefutable evidence... I mean cummon guys.. this is all heresay...
U know.. innocent till proven guilty?
Why does this have to be a witch hunt?
No one has ANYTHING to prove with these threads.
I think we all learned to play nice in kindergarten...
Are we not supposed to be discussing herps here? I much rather chat herps
Sorry guys.. I just felt the need to play devils advocate.

Question on the photo status....can it be about anything or is it related to reptiles or members only, or can it be anything off the net or must it be a taken photo (from own camera) and so on?
|
That question kind of makes all these allegations seem a little more truthfull..
Also, the fact that Tony said he had the snake OUTSIDE in January, kind of seems fishy as well, especially considering that the pics are dated from the summer...
In All honesty, I really hope that he makes us all eat our words and thoughts. These are all AMAZING animals and we NEED animals like these in Canadian collections..
Judging by 'history' Tony won't reply, as you can see in this thread and a couple others, unless it's a compliment, he doesn't acknowledge it..

Is it possible he bought these snakes, maby not received some of them yet and had permission, or was given the images to use as he wished. I don't know, I'm just wondering.....
Guess we won't know till Tony drops on in....

Im sure that could very well be the case.. Doesn't take away from the fact that he said HE had the snake outside though..
Anyway, i'll shut up until Tony replies.

Is this an official declaration of shenanigans??
If so, the town charter clearly states that the merchant must respond by bringing his wares to the court house steps in the town square for public inspection. lol!
For our purposes the suggested picture of the sunglow in one hand and a single finger salute in the other would do just fine.
But hold the tar and feathers for a minute and give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Let's presume innocence for a second and each of us think about what we would do if accused of the same thing, would you rush to your own defence and give your accusers what they demand or would you just shrug it off and say that you don't have to prove anything to anyone?
Personally, if the accusations were false, I don't think I would give the accusing mob what they want right away. Nope, if my reputation had already been tarnished (as Tony's has at this point) I would want a price to be paid by my false accusers. I think I would demand that if I were to provide such exculpatory evidence that the accusers each post a pic of themselves wearing nothing but their own most prized snake and a sign that says "Tony's snakes are better than mine, I was just playa hatin' ".
So, how 'bout it? Let's up the stakes here to make it fair for everyone... lol!

I do believe it is an official declaration, yes...
From what I understand, photographs are the property of the person who takes said photographs. Buying the subject of those photos does not imply ownership... pasting your own 'copyright so and so' on pictures you did not take is really, actually, technically stealing.
I would love to give him the benefit of the doubt, so I'm waiting too...

I think Tony's locked himself away pinching himself in hopes that he will wake up from this horrible self induced nightmare. Come on man one pic of you holding both snakes sunglow and snow and it will all go away with a bunch of people feeling like idiots!!LOL!!

Good point. I am sure any of us would pony up with a photo of ourself with the animal in question if we were in a similar situation.
Come on Tony... set us straight once and for all.........

I still wouldn't feel like an idiot. I would admit my gut feelings were wrong, I would apologize but most of all, I would be VERY surprised. That's about it.
Give him the benefit of the doubt? I think that's what most of us DID for the past year and a half. Now we're giving him the "opportunity" to come clean, explain things and start over. He can take that or leave it. That's up to him.
Is it our fault we noticed things? Nope. That's what intelligent people do.

Everyone meet RA and as the Egyptians praised the sun and named there Sun God, Ra so shall I name this Sunglow in the same manner.

Whatever all this stuff is that is going on is none of my business, but I just made a realization of my own. Maybe I can be a smart/intelligent guy now to.....lol
From looking at his original post, I'm not sure where the accusation of him having the boa outside in January are coming from. I don't think he said he had them outside? I think he's smarter than that. Manitoba is a little to cold for taking boas outside in January.
Who knows, maybe he's got another camera? I don't know. Whatever the situation is, he's obviously not responding to the allegations for some reason or another. I'm just guessing, but the more accusations that come out, the less likely he'll be to respond. But who knows.
Just throwing out another option.

That's what I was trying to tell him in the notorious "Variety Pack of Boas" thread but he just can't grasp the concept.
I'm glad someone sees it the same way I do.
