Close tub..
Open tub a minute later...I just ate two days ago? I think you're lying, you should feed me.

Re: SD Retic Pics
Lol, now to get him to stop peeing on me. He looks pretty angry in that first pic.

Re: SD Retic Pics
Saw him all stretched out this morning and figured its a good time for pics. You can see how he's put on weight since he got here.
This was day 1, March 11.
Today...
And a couple extras.

Re: SD Retic Pics
Looking good Adrian! I really like your tub set up too. Is that the Christmas Tree sized tub you told me about before?

Re: SD Retic Pics
Thanks! Yeah, it is. I'm actually thinking about putting him in something a bit smaller to see if it helps calm him down.

Re: SD Retic Pics
That feeding response as soon as you open is typical, mine is very much the same.. However I'm fully hook training mine so no bites so far.
Is this a pure locale SD or is it a %SD like mine?

Re: SD Retic Pics
He's a pure Kalatoa, I'm hook training but he bites the hook too aha. He was still striking even after, just because I was walking by the tub. He's never actually bitten me so I suppose that's good

Nice mate, I bet he grows into a right good looking chap! The feed response is insane for 48 hours after feeding.. Keeps you on your toes

Re: SD Retic Pics
How old is he now Snoopy? I find that after 12-24 months they calm down. My two pure SDs I don't NEED to use a hook with, but I still do as it's good to work with them.

Re: SD Retic Pics
He'll be a year on August 26th. I've been trying to feed him a bit more too.

Re: SD Retic Pics
I offered food tonight after 10 days, usually as soon as I open the tub he comes out. Tonight he didn't even poke his nose out, I dangled the mouse in front of all hides and nothing. I found what hide he was in and lifted it to offer again, he striked and missed and gave a few quick defensive strikes and didn't take either rat. He doesn't look to be in shed and nothings changed. Any ideas? He's never not eaten for me...
