Re: Eastern Diamondback Rattler's
I hope that pic get's your retic's jump started!lol
Here's a pic of JerryLee my male, 3 months ago I could NEVER have had this pic taken with him but after working with him these past months he's calmed down some. His mate Temperence is still to nervous to handle without a snake hook but maybe with time she may calm down also. This is what I really enjoy doing, working with my Diamondback's.

That's nice that you enjoy freehandling, but again, please do not post pictures of your reckless behavior in public where others might decide to try it to. Our hobby doesn't need any more bad press.

Well 'ole' Sour Ball is back! I thought you weren't going to be around people who free handle or people who tolerate it, but yet once again here you are. We all know your views on this subject as you have complained again and again.

No need to be disrespectful. She makes a very good point and I don't see her calling you names. If you wanna free-handle your hots, that's your choice, but I agree that this doesn't look too good for the hobby. Nice looking EDB's btw.

Re: Eastern Diamondback Rattler's
No need in calling names you say? have you even read this thread? why in her last post she called me "reckless" in other posts she has accused me of "going to get someone killed" and yet in another post she called me a "showboater" but yet you tell ME no need to call names.
Hey Demonseed glad to see you made it.

Sorry, guess I missed her that but the point still stands,
I don't think free-handling is something that should be shown like this and you won't directly cause someone to get bit but may inspire someone to try this with an animal they don't know too well or have experience with.

Well thank you for your opinion, you are entitled to it as am I and I don't believe these pic's are harmful to anyone.

Re: Eastern Diamondback Rattler's
I'm with the OP on this one. Even though I support licensing and regulations for keeping hots and giants I think he's perfectly entitled to handle his snakes as he sees fit as long as he's not encouraging others to follow his example, breaking any laws, harming the animals, or endangering anyone but himself. Adults have to decide for themselves what's best for them and not be so impressionable by the actions of others. They should already be aware of the inherent dangers of keeping venomous snakes and how the risks of injury or death are increased with free handling. Stay safe 54!

I see your point and I agree, he can do whatever he pleases with his hots. I would just be more concerned about younger kids seeing this and thinking they can do it too, is all.

Re: Eastern Diamondback Rattler's
I agree with you too Adrian. I definitely don't think kids, or most adults for that matter, should emulate the actions in question. Some kids don't know any better and we have to educate and protect them. Adults on the other hand can weigh the benefits vs. risks and make their own choices. It's all good until somebody gets bit and eventually somebody will . Oh yeah, and no name calling please ladies and gentlemen .
