Is there a difference between the NC stock and the NJ stock of eastern kings? I rarely ever see northern species in captivity but in the wild I have seen many that are almost solid black. Just curious.

Yes, the NC Easterns are the best! Just kidding. The patterns vary. Some locales have white chains, some yellow, and some have cream. Some locales have very thin chains while others have very wide chains.
