I am curious Wayne, what all are you feeding them as of now, and how much?
They slam 10 night crawlers each daily, I had to slow down on the Dubia until my colony recovers, and baby rats.
The other day I stopped at the pet store and picked up $10 worth of crickets, and just let them all go in there. It was fun to watch, but the monitors started fighting.
My rats hate me, because every time they have a litter, I let them nurse the babies for a few days, and once the pups start to get a little colour to them I take the whole litter, split it up 50/50 and then let the monitors devour them.
Every once in a while, I do give my snakes the rat pinks, now that rodent pro has been on backorder and the entire frozen rodent price scale has doubled.
The 12 cent fuzzy mouse is just a memory now, doubt they will ever come back down.
My son has become very good at catching those big grasshoppers out back, but that season is coming to a close fast.
and last but not least, these really huge organic shrimp that cost $11.50 a pound, they are so big I have to cut them into thirds. However at that price, they are treats.
All I can say is they are ALWAYS hungry, and they eat more food than anyone could imagine.
I have to take Littlefoot out when I feed Cera, the fighting has gotten to be violent when food enters the picture.
This was the very last time I ever let them eat together. (I slowed it down to 50% to better see just how dangerous this fight really was) Littlefoot twisted Ceraa's arm pretty bad in this fight. She recovered quickly, but never again...
