I would not feed live food as it could damage your snake ft is much safer imo.

Like I said already its not eating because its stressed and has no routine if you choose live over ft when you want to switch to ft it will take more time.
Do you think I should start right off with F/T?

My other animals eat both...

Check this out guy. I'll post more videos and comments. If you have constructive criticism, it is welcomed. If not, it is also welcomed. Its entertaining. Im sure you're the toughest Canadian around, but I don't want to bicker with you, I might drown in my sea of wrong and sorrow.

Anyways, Im not holding her for a week due to the fact that she's not eating. The last two lines you finger smacked in actually offer some advice. Keep it coming, its welcomed. I never said you were wrong, you are right and Im swimming in a sea of wrong.

Share your knowledge not your ****** attitude. I can sit here all day and write you, or I can go ride my Ducati I southern California weather. I think ill go with B.

Again, have a wonderful day full of awesomeness BYE BYE!
Love when people try to take the high road but throw in their "cool ride". A+ to you.

Enjoy the weather. I'm just about to suit up and take my sled dogs for a run.

Live is easier to get for me so I feed live but it's all about the person. If you're going to feed live accept the risks your animal could get hurt, but never leave the mouse inside the cage even if its for a few minutes. I personally hold the mouse/rat by the hand to feed or tongs depending which animal.

Dude! If you weren't such a doucher we could bond. Hahaha. Explain sled dogs, do you actually sled or is it just huskies?

I think with time and patience we can become pretty much the best friends in the world. taking the high road has to be the best option when dealing with online forums, don't you think "veteran, expert, senior member, presidents club, etc, etc"?

As I understand, WLPs are very finicky. So my question is, do you feed your in its enclosure?

Im used to removing all my animals for feeding.
I'm not sure how long you've been doing this nor does it matter but I think you should feed all of your snakes in their enclosures. I have done both and find in tank feedings way better.

Also Aaron's nickname is Gary Gay for a reason.

Hahaha!

I got my first ball python when I was 17, and I used to feed him in his cage. He would then almost always poke his head when I opened his tank and aggressively wait for his rat. This wasn't good for me wanting to handle him. So from then on I started feeding on separate containers. The only snake I own that I feed in its enclosure is the ATB. This is because I was having problems with him not eating and I fixed it by offering in his cage. I actually fed him in a box last night and he was great.

I am for sure going to try the in tank feeding.
This is one of my old Bps that I used to feed in its tank. This was his greeting, followed by strikes.

Some snakes just do that. Take that new, shiny hook and tap its head. It should kick it out of feed mode.

I use the hook to remove them as well at this point and they can be handled then.

Think of it this way, if they believe the top opening means food, then anytime you open it they'll it's time for food in their food bin. No difference in the train of thought.

Nice. That makes sense, thanks. I will definitely feed in tank.

I still cannot believe quarantine hasn't been addressed after the first reply, you even stated that animal is a pet store buy, surely someone as expert as you should know the risk of not quarantining a pet store animal from your 8 other snakes.

Oh gosh...Address the issue then. is there anything else to say about it?

I did not quarantine the snake I brought home from the pet store. IT IS BAD. Anything else?

Yes, I handled it before it ate.

I feed my snakes live and outside their cages.

Hello, my name is andcad and Im a ****** keeper.

I sometimes take all 6 (not 8) of my snakes and put them in a jungle gym together. They love to socialize. Also, when one of them regurgitates food I dont let it go to waste. I usually feed it to my most expensive snake (who feeds twice the amount recommended already) so that it grows faster. I want it to be full size in 6 months.

Admission is the first step.

Just so you know, he isn't wrong about quarantine.

In those close quarters and buying from a pet store I'd be weary of mites. Also, if one of your snakes got RI, as you've mentioned it's colder where you are right now, it could easily run through your collection.

Re: Heres another video of the White Lipped Python

This has been a pretty hilarious thread actually. Well done andcad for putting up with the gauntlet of pettiness. You did it with style and a bit of flair.

Beautiful white lipped, by the way. They are such cool pythons, even if they are a bit temperamental.
