I have Hondurans, and only one of them is at all temperamental. As hatchlings, they can be somewhat snippy, but I've been able to train all of them out of that with very little trouble. The one that is still temperamental is a buckskin morph I got as an adult; he bit me a lot at first, but hasn't bitten me in several years, though he really doesn't like to be handled. My tangerines and hypo-tangerine are really easy-going; one adult female I take to schools and other educational events because she's so laid-back.

I've heard that some Cali kings are bitey, too, but in my experience, being bitey is really much more individual and not so much morph/species related with kings and milk snakes. I've handled many various kings and milk snakes that were just wonderful to handle.

Sometimes it takes time and patience to help them become used to Godzilla (you) handling them and learn that Godzilla isn't going to eat them.

yeah my cali king is awesome, after only 2 days he is letting me handle him and eating fine. couldnt be happier. he is a bit older though
