Re: Share your Macro Shots

Today was my first try with the new lens and I got some pretty decent pictures but this one I'm the most happy with. I generally don't take good pictures.

Re: Share your Macro Shots

Hey! That sand boa looks familiar.

Here's a few shots of mine.

I also have quite a few of my older shots at RobbiesCornField on deviantART

Re: Share your Macro Shots

Those aren't really macro, Charis, but I have to give you HUGE compliments. Those are some very beautiful pictures of some AMAZING colubrids (and the sand boa!). Can I ask where you got your tri-color from? I've been looking to pick up a pair. Yours are stunning. Wow!

Re: Share your Macro Shots

Thanks! Yeah, they were taken with a macro lens but aren't quite close enough to be considered true macro shots I guess.
I searched high and low for that Tri! It was a present for my husband. When we were just dating, the first reptile Expo we went to there were a adult 1.2 trio there and the male was gorgeous! He was a good price too but my husband wasn't working right then and while I had just enough money on me to have bought him, it would have wiped me out for the rest of the month so I passed. Did come home with my Western hog from the same table though. But I kicked myself for not getting that Tri for the next year and a half! The few others I was able to find we're all live feeders and I didn't want to mess with trying to convert one to F/T. Found this one on kingsnake from a guy who does mostly geckos with only a few snake breedings every now and then. Snatched him up in the first three hours the ad was live! I can't remember his name offhand but I can look it up for you later. But I know Reptmart carries them sometimes for not too high a price. I got my male p.coxi from them but they didn't have any Tri's ready to go when I was looking.

Re: Share your Macro Shots

Beautiful snakes and shots, Charis. (Though I can't say the blue dyed phal does anything for me. Ah well to each their own. )

I was thinking the same thing. Not a fan of dyed flowers.
