Despite many baytril treatments and increased heat, she always bubbled, bloated her throat and had secretions around her mouth. Half the time she seems fine, the other half , half dead. When I introduced the male for breeding, she showed these signs again. After a few weeks together he never showed any signs. That makes me think it's just her. If it was an RI i'm pretty sure he would have gotten from her, but he's always healthy.
I don't know what to do with her. Try to find her another home? I'd hate to euthanize her but she seems like she's in pain most of the time.

The baby is very nice looking. I'm glad one made it.
But surely I am not the only one that sees the elephant in the corner? Where are all our 'straight shooters'?

You mean breeding a sick female?
Maybe they are scared of Randy! He could probably hurt them in so many ways they are just scared thinking about it. I mean come on the man plays with fire!!!!!

Oh, it's coming, don't worry. People can't stop from stating the obvious. Like I said I had given multiple Baytril treatments, sometimes she seemed better then others like she was dying. I thought she was all cleared up when I introduced her to breed. Then after it was already done she started showing signs again. S*** happens. Another reason i'm trying to find another option that doesn't include me taking care of her.

Hahaha it just didn't sit well with me.
As for the options BarelyBreathing has PM'd me with some good options for people that may take her, and I will be giving them a call as soon as I make a pot of coffee.

Re: Here he is...:)
Unfortunately the rescue place was no longer a rescue. The girl laughed and said i'm the second person to call asking that. I'm off to find a home for her. Hopefully the vet has a few people in mind.
Just weighed the new one , 49.5 grams.

How about Lazarus? (one of my favorite characters in The Future History Series by Robert Heinlein, but also since he sort of rose from the dead so to speak)

Ones that Heinlein wrote. Theyre all good.
But seriously, try ' the moon is a harsh mistress'. It's my personal favorite. And 'Stranger in a strange land' is probably his most famous.

Re: Here he is...:)
No luck with the female today, but I did get a few signs up. I fed her today and it was so sad. I thought she was going to choke and die. Audible wheezes from the other room.
