Go to any scrap yard, they will sell you aluminum for the price of scrap.

I got several sheets of Aluminum from a public bathroom wall once for really cheap just by asking.

Scrapped out road signs are perfect, and some of them are really big too.

Some highway sign panels are 4 foot by 8 foot!! same dimensions as a sheet of plywood.

From a sheet metal supply house, this panel would be hundreds of dollars to buy, a scrap road sign about $20
